I Gave NAD+ 30 Days to Prove It Was Working (Here’s the Test I Used Before Buying Another Bottle)
Don’t take the brand’s word for it. Establish a baseline, change one variable and measure whether it earns a place.
The Tuesday session was still getting done.
The problem was Wednesday.
My resting heart rate took longer to return to baseline. HRV remained suppressed. My legs worked, but they were not ready to reproduce the same output.
I had trained consistently for twenty years. The program had not suddenly stopped working.
The recovery window had changed.
I had also tried enough recovery supplements to know how this normally goes.
You add something new.
You think you notice a difference.
Then your training changes, you sleep better or work becomes less stressful.
A month later, you cannot tell which variable did what.
The bottle runs out and you stop buying it.
I wasn’t interested in repeating that process.
Before trying OMRE, I decided what would count as evidence.
The supplement would not get the benefit of the doubt. It would have to earn its place.
The First Step Was Not Taking Anything
Most people begin measuring after they start a supplement.
Without a baseline, there is nothing useful to compare the result against.
I spent two weeks training normally and recorded the same markers every morning:
- Resting heart rate
- HRV
- Sleep duration
- Soreness from 1–10
- Readiness to repeat the previous session
I also selected one session I could reproduce each week.
Same exercise.
Same duration.
Same target heart rate or load.
Same time of day where possible.
The purpose was not to produce laboratory-quality data.
It was to establish my normal range.
If my HRV regularly moved between 38 and 48, a single reading of 49 would mean very little.
If several markers moved outside their usual ranges across comparable weeks, that would be more useful.
You cannot identify a signal until you know what your normal noise looks like.
The Real Test Was Wednesday
Soreness is subjective. Expectations can influence it.
Repeat performance is harder to argue with.
Can you hold the same pace at the same heart rate?
Can you reproduce the same repetitions at the same load?
Does resting heart rate return to baseline by the following morning?
Does HRV recover normally after the same type of session?
I wasn’t looking for a personal best.
I was measuring the cost of producing a familiar result.
Tuesday still looked fine.
The test was whether Wednesday became more repeatable.
Then I Looked at What NMN Had Actually Done in Humans
NMN is a precursor the body can use to produce NAD+.
NAD+ is involved in cellular energy metabolism and acts as a substrate for enzymes involved in several cellular processes.¹
That is the mechanism.
The human evidence is more limited than many supplement companies imply.
In one randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 66 adults aged 40–65 received either 300mg NMN or placebo for 60 days.
The NMN group’s serum NAD+/NADH measure increased by 11.3% at day 30 and 38% from baseline at day 60. The placebo group showed a 14.3% increase at day 60.²
There is a limitation worth stating: the study author was employed by the company supplying the NMN ingredient.
That does not invalidate the result, but it should affect how much weight is placed on one study.
The evidence supports a narrow statement:
Oral NMN can increase a measured NAD-related marker in humans.²
It does not prove that NMN improves HRV, strength or recovery.
The Runner Study Was Relevant. It Was Not a Recovery Trial.
A separate randomized, double-blind study followed 48 recreationally trained runners for six weeks.
They trained five or six times per week and received placebo, 300mg, 600mg or 1,200mg NMN per day.
The medium- and high-dose groups showed greater improvements in several measurements taken at the first and second ventilatory thresholds.³
Several other outcomes did not significantly change:
- VO₂max
- Peak power
- Peak workload
- Body composition
- Grip strength
- Push-up performance
The study did not measure HRV, delayed-onset muscle soreness or next-day recovery. It also did not test OMRE’s finished formula or include a 500mg NMN group.³
The trial provides a reason to investigate NMN in people who train.
It does not guarantee that your recovery data will change.
Good research should narrow a claim, not give permission to expand it.
I Chose a Formula I Could Verify
Once I understood the limits of the evidence, the product criteria were straightforward.
I wanted a disclosed NMN dose, independent testing, published batch information and no proprietary blend.
OMRE NMN + Resveratrol provides 500mg NMN, 500mg micronized trans-resveratrol and 5mg BioPerine per daily serving.⁴
It was developed by Dr. Pedram Kordrostami, M.D., and is independently tested, with batch-testing information published by OMRE.⁴
Two capsules in the morning.
No loading phase.
No requirement to take it before training.
Because the formula contains three active ingredients, a personal test cannot prove which one produced any observed change.
You are testing whether the finished formula earns a place. You are not proving which molecule caused the result.
Here’s the 30-Day Test I Used
I kept the design simple.
Before starting
I collected two weeks of baseline data while training normally.
I did not add another supplement, change my program or deliberately improve my sleep at the same time.
Week 1
I took the same serving at approximately the same time each morning.
I did not expect an immediate effect.
NMN is not a stimulant or pre-workout. A first-dose “kick” was not the outcome being tested.
Weeks 2–4
I compared like with like.
A recovery score after intervals was compared with another interval session, not with a rest day.
I used seven-day medians for HRV and resting heart rate rather than reacting to one morning.
I repeated the same benchmark session once per week.
Day 30
I asked five questions:
- Had repeat output improved at the same effort?
- Were resting markers returning to baseline sooner?
- Had the seven-day trend moved outside its normal range?
- Had the change appeared in more than one marker?
- Had it repeated across comparable weeks?
If the answer was no, the evidence was weak.
If two or more markers had moved beyond their normal variation across comparable weeks, continuing to the six-week point was easier to justify.
That was a decision.
It was not proof.
Signal Has to Exceed Your Own Noise
There is no universal HRV increase or resting-heart-rate reduction that proves a supplement is working.
Individual baselines vary too much.
A single high HRV reading is noise.
One unusually good workout is noise.
Feeling better during a week with less stress and more sleep is confounded data.
A more credible signal has three features:
- It exceeds your normal baseline variation.
- It appears in at least two independent markers.
- It repeats across comparable training weeks.
An improvement in pace at the same heart rate becomes more useful if next-morning markers also normalize sooner.
If performance improves but training volume changed, attribution becomes difficult.
If nothing moves outside your established range, that result matters too.
The correct outcome of a self-test is sometimes to stop taking the product.
What I Did Not Expect to Change
I did not expect OMRE to produce:
- An immediate energy surge
- A new personal best
- Higher peak power
- A measurable change in body composition
- A replacement for sleep, protein, calories or programmed recovery
- Proof that my NAD+ level had increased
A wearable cannot measure NAD+.
Testing that directly requires an appropriate laboratory measurement. Even then, a higher blood marker would not automatically prove improved recovery.
This test answers a narrower question:
Under reasonably consistent conditions, does the formula produce enough of a repeatable change to justify continuing it?
That was the only question I needed answered.
Here’s How to Test OMRE
OMRE NMN + Resveratrol provides 500mg NMN and 500mg micronized trans-resveratrol per daily serving, alongside BioPerine.⁴
It is independently tested, made in the USA and available as either a one-time purchase or subscription.⁴
Start with the one-time option if that is how you prefer to evaluate supplements.
Establish your baseline.
Keep the other variables stable.
Track the same markers.
Then let the data decide whether it earns another order.
You may not notice a meaningful difference.
But you should never have to keep buying a supplement because a company told you to believe in it.
Understand the mechanism. Define the test before you begin. Keep it only if the result justifies the decision.
This framework is for personal tracking and is not a clinical trial or medical advice. Speak to your healthcare professional before taking a new supplement, particularly if you use prescription medication or have a medical condition.

Can anybody vouch for this?
I love it. Easy to use and easy instructions. Perfect when im busy. It's great.
I bought mine for the full price and now it's 20% off? That's not fair!
How long does shipping take??
got mine after a week
I'm in my early 60's and have noticed an increase in energy throughout the day along with deeper sleep at night. Additionally, I am a novice beekeeper and got stung 7 times two days ago. Amazingly, the welts went down quickly and rather than having painful reminders for days, I had no pain after the first few hours.
Hey Lois, this is what I told you about last night
Wow, this is crazy, have ordered 3 jars now!
Did you buy one, how long does it take to get it
For me 7 business days.
Love this NMN. Very powerful.
Wow sounds amazing, did anyone actually buy one and has it been tested?
Yes, It comes well packed and I have used this for several weeks. It fits well in my daily routine. I like the pill size and how I feel after I use it
